Vision

To build a recovery ready San Luis Valley through collaborative partnerships that support justice involved individuals—including those navigating competency restoration and re entry. We envision a community where every person, regardless of background or circumstance, has access to safe, stable housing and the support necessary to achieve long term recovery. Aspen Haven Foundation is committed to advancing equity and addressing rural health disparities by delivering trauma informed, person centered services. We strive to ensure that all residents are treated with dignity, compassion, and respect as they pursue healing, self sufficiency, and reintegration into society.

Mission

To provide a positive, safe, peer-led, peer-driven, empowering person-centered environment—one that is supportive of all pathways of recovery for individuals seeking to overcome substance use disorders and obtain the recovery skills needed to live a life free of chemical dependence.

Philosophy

Want Aspen Haven Foundation housing is safe, healthy, familylike, and substancefree, supporting individuals in recovery from substance use disorders. Recovery housing benefits individuals by creating a safe place where change can occur, reinforcing a substancefree lifestyle, and fostering meaningful connections through mutual support groups and communitybased services.

Guiding Principals

  1. Respect for each person’s dignity and worth. Everyone deserves compassion and respect regardless of their background or circumstances.
  2. Respect for gender, racial/ethnic, and cultural diversity. We honor and celebrate the diverse identities and experiences of our participants.
  3. Recovery is personal and personcentered. Each recovery journey is unique; services and supports must be tailored to individual needs and preferences.
  4. Recovery is traumainformed. We acknowledge the impact of trauma and strive to provide safe, supportive, and nontraumatizing services.
  5. Recovery incorporates housing, employment, and social connections. Stable housing, meaningful work, and supportive relationships are critical to longterm recovery.
